Vice President and General Manager, Building Technology Engineers, Inc.
Tom is responsible for the successful execution of the comprehensive suite of facilities management and operations and maintenance services offered by Building Technology Engineers (BTE), an EMCOR Company.
Tom works to expand BTE's business portfolio and further build their current customer relationships. He has a proven track record of innovative, responsive customer service and consistently high-quality project delivery.
As a more than 30-year veteran of BTE, Tom brings extensive practical building operations and maintenance expertise to every assignment. Over the years, he has held a wide range of field supervision and management positions, including Operations Manager of the mobile services group and Operations Manager for the Northeast region.
Throughout his career, Tom has worked with many of BTE’s well-known and highly respected clients, including Jones Lang LaSalle, Cushman & Wakefield, CBRE, Colliers Meredith & Grew, Boston Properties, Boston Scientific, Novartis, Amgen, GSA, IBM, Intel, and MIT.
Tom studied refrigeration and air conditioning at Peterson School of Steam Engineering. An Association of Facilities Engineering (AFE)-certified plant engineer, he has participated in the Building Owners and Managers Institute's facilities management administrator course, as well as in-house courses on a range of topics, including automated controls, automatic transfer switches, boilers, chiller maintenance, heat pumps, HVAC basics, in-door air quality, and water treatment.
Additionally, Tom is a Committee Chair and Board of Director member for Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Boston, as well as a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Association of Facilities Engineering (AFE). He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business management at American Intercontinental University.
Tom enjoys spending time with family and friends. An avid golfer, he also gets pleasure from developing and implementing business plans.
