$92,000 in energy savings across 100 locations.

Large rooftop HVAC equipment

Value Delivered

EMCOR Facilities Services developed an HVAC maintenance program that brought this home furnishings retailer’s aging rooftop equipment up to optimum operating efficiency, reducing the amount of energy required to run the units on a daily basis.

Our efforts helped the client realize approximately $92,000 in energy savings, across 100 locations in California. Furthermore, we identified additional $500,000 in savings for the client by partnering with utility companies, as well as a third-party provider, to take advantage of available incentive rebate programs.

Client Objectives

The client needed to increase the life expectancy of existing, aging rooftop equipment, while reducing overall energy consumption.

Solutions

Our scope of work involved replacing and upgrading internal components of the client’s rooftop units. Using third-party technology, we compared energy consumption before and after the equipment was replaced or upgraded. Subsequently, we were able to provide detailed reporting of energy and cost savings to the client.

Client Background

This client operates a chain of over 1,100 retail stores in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
