Value Delivered

We delivered an integrated facilities management program to six manufacturing plants for a large tire manufacturer. Across the six locations, we managed roughly 3,000,000 square feet of manufacturing space and produced on average savings of 25-percent per plant, with one plant in particular realizing a 47-percent expense reduction.

Client Objectives

Our client went on a company-wide cost-cutting initiative, where they identified facilities maintenance as an area that needed improvement. It was a top priority to develop strategies that would reduce facility expenses, consolidate their supplier invoices, and develop a more transparent system to track facilities management activities.

Solutions

Since the contract's inception, we have been able to implement numerous, extremely effective, facilities management processes, including:

  • Consolidated 90 percent of invoices
  • Implemented a computerized maintenance management system which helped:
    ○  Systematize work orders
    ○  Define priority categories
    ○  Provide in-depth information on work orders
  • Exceeded estimated savings by an average of 14 percent

The contract has been so successful that EFS was awarded another facilities management contract with this client at six additional sites, totaling over 6 million square feet of manufacturing space.
